Weather

It is hot and sunny with high humidity in July in Hong Kong. The average low and high temperatures are 27°C (81°F) and 32°C (90°F). Typhoons are occasional in Hong Kong in July, bringing high winds and plenty of rain.

Clothing: Wear summer clothes and sun protection.
 
If you are a pollen allergy sufferer, be aware many flowers bloom in June/July in Hong Kong: African lily, Chinese quinine, Chinese hibiscus, pavetta, moth orchid, etc. If needed, please prepare a mask or take some medicine.
 

Language

Cantonese and English are the two official languages in Hong Kong.

Electricity

The standard electrical voltage in Hong Kong is 220 volts AC, 50Hz. Most hotel bathrooms also have outlets for 100 volts, but if not, you will need a transformer for any appliance or electrical equipment. The majority of electrical outlets in Hong Kong take a three-pronged UK-style plug. You can buy an inexpensive adaptor for your electrical equipment at most convenience stores.
